Modify Spatial Attributes Dialog

Used to change the source and the coordinate system of a spatial location for one or several documents in a single operation.

SettingDescription
Source

Possible values for the spatial location source are:

  • Custom: The spatial location source associated to the document(s) of folder(s) is set to Custom.

  • None: No spatial location is associated to the document(s) or folder(s).

  • Parent folder: The spatial location source is the parent folder.

  • New location: Allows you to define a new spatial location by drawing the geometry on the background map.

  • Existing document location: Allows you to select a document in ProjectWise that has a spatial location assigned to it. This spatial location will then be assigned to the document(s) or folder(s).

  • Existing folder location: Allows you to select a folder in ProjectWise that has a spatial location assigned to it. This spatial location will then be assigned to the document(s) or folder(s).

Coordinate System

Use to select the coordinate system when the source is set to Custom. The coordinate system drop-down list is available only when a document that has a spatial location set to custom is selected. It is then possible to change its coordinate system value.

When multiple documents are selected, if they use different coordinate systems, the coordinate system list will be set to <various>.

At any time, when changing the coordinate system, the transformation between the source and the newly selected coordinate system must be possible. The new coordinate system must be chosen carefully.

Note: The Modify Spatial Attributes is applied to the selection in List view (resulting from a search or not). You can interrupt the data processing at any moment.
Processing options

Choose from the following options:

  • Skip items that have no spatial location: Folders and documents with no spatial location will not be processed.

  • Skip items whose spatial location is a custom spatial location: Folders and documents with a custom spatial location will not be processed.

  • Skip items whose spatial location is a linked spatial location: Folders and documents with a linked spatial location will not be processed.

  • Skip items whose spatial location is inherited from their parent folder: Folders and documents with a parent folder spatial location will not be processed.
